I am currently working almost entirely online via Zoom, but I do also see clients face-to-face in Prestwich, North Manchester, and I also offer telephone-based counselling.
At first, when we were all forced to switch to online working, I wondered if it was even possible to work with therapy clients online, but now I prefer it. Zoom is easy and flexible, it makes it easier to find time in your diary to speak to a therapist, and I think less travelling is a better choice for the environment. You can do couples therapy online, too.
In the past year I have begun working with some clients on the telephone. Although we can’t see each other, working this way allows a close focus on the words that are spoken, and in some ways it can be easier to talk to a therapist when you don’t have to worry about how you look. I also feel that it is important to offer this option to people who find working online difficult or stressful.
I’m keeping this page ‘live’ so that you can see how things used to be… I had a discreet, comfortable office in Manchester city centre.
I now have access to a cosy therapy room at the Creative Calm Yoga Centre in Prestwich. It’s easy to find on Bury New Road.
I am a Registered Member of the BACP (British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists), and I work within the BACP’s Ethical Framework. I am also a trained and experienced Supervisor of counsellors.
